The Butterfly Returns
Many of us non-millennals grew up with the soulful contemporary sounds of Mariah Carey in the 90’s. Thanks to Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV we now have the opportunity to re-live those amazing sounds again. Mariah is back in full force with “The Butterfly Returns” show at the Colosseum inside Caesar’s Palace.
On Saturday, Javier and I were having dinner with a friend over at Bally’s. Javier was scrolling through Facebook when a friend said they scored tickets to Mariah through Houseseats.com (only the most amazing gem for us Las Vegans’…more on that in another post). So he checked Houseseats and sure enough the tickets were gone. About ten minutes later he checked again and she was back on, so he scooped up our 4 tickets. Our friend Billy, who was with us that night did the same. Now we have 8 tickets to Mariah for Saturday night AND one hour to find five friends to join us. Where does one turn to find takers? Of course back to Facebook. Within minutes we had our 5 Mariah fanatics ready to make a mad dash through Saturday traffic down to Caesar’s to enjoy the show. Boy what a show it was! The only catch, Javier only really knew a few of the songs. Guess it’s time to expand his musical library to 90’s contemporary R&B.
