#NACHOGATE

If you’ve been on twitter over the past few days you’ve probably seen the absolutely infamous Nachos offered at the brand new upscale Fountainebleau Resort Casino. The discourse started with a single tweet of a man who paid $24 dollars for A plate of nachos at the Fountainebleau Sports book and was met with a plate of six nachos decorated with sprigs of cilantro and four containers containing Jalapeños, Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Salsa. So what is the Tea?

The tweet seemed to spark rage and heckling from the public online, while other local casinos seeing this as an opportunity to throw their hat, or sombrero, in the ring. Offering nachos to the (now) lucky guest.

The Great Vegas Nacho Wars or #NachoGate as they’re calling it. Has really inspired us at Blake Home Group to take a look inside ourselves and see what OUR favorite nachos are in town. If you’re visiting anytime soon, here are a few you should check out.

Nacho Daddy

This Vegas born eatery is known for two things, their gourmet nachos and their scorpion shots. The gourmet nacho menu is INSANE, they have everything from the Supreme Tostada Nachos (a seasoned ground beef based nachos) to the more “Comfort” based Southern Fried Chicken Nachos and the spicy Thai Chicken Nachos. They’ve been around for almost 15 years with no signs of stopping, and with chips this elaborate, there’s no reason for them to!

Sayulitas

This tiny restaurant on the strip (across from Mandalay Bay) is known for its massive 16 inch burritos (wrapped in bacon) that can feed 7-8 people for the low low price of $93 dollars. Although they do have nachos on the menu, the reason they are on this list is because of their Fries (which are arguably interchangeable with Nachos). They have 10 different kind of fries on the menu, everything from Longanisa, Hot Cheeto, and Spam. There is truly something for everyone, but the real winner is their Papas Kahon *Big Ass Fries* Its a full size pizza box with their 4 of their best selling fries. This is a game changer and is PERFECT for any party. It can feed 5-6 people, and everybody will be more than satisfied

Whiskey Licker Up Saloon

Located on the second floor at the famous Binion’s hotel and casino on Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, this BBQ spot has plenty of choices when it comes to meals. Their BBQ Smoked Pork Nachos have constantly been a favorite for the table because of their absolutely delicious meat and home made nacho sauce. At only $17, it’s not a bad deal either.

McMullans Irish Pub

Though surprising, this is a local favorite place for their Irish Nachos. Made with homemade Potato Chips instead of the classic tortilla chips, these nachos are an absolute treat! They come with cheddar cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and chives, and topped with sour cream. Simple and delicious.

UPDATE

FountaineBleu has put out an official statement. Hopefully the Las Vegas Nacho Landscape sees peace and learns from their mistake. Nachos are meant to be shared and loved. Not used for evil.
